This Sunday we bid farewell to Father Humphrey and wish him well in his new appointment as assistant priest to Father Louis Maggiore in the parish of Christ the King, Bromborough. Thank you, Father Humphrey on behalf of all the people of the parish, for your work in Ellesmere Port and Hooton over these first two years of your priesthood. God bless you in your new parish and we hope you have a good break before taking up your new appointment in September.
Baptism is when someone begins their journey as a member of God’s Family (the Church) water is poured over the person’s head three times in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and they anointed with oil as a sign of sharing in the role of a Christian.
