Pilgrimage to Lourdes 3-9 May 2024

SPECIAL CALL FOR ASSISTED PILGRIMS

Would you like to come to Lourdes as an assisted pilgrim with The British Association of the Order of Malta? We have some spaces available, and a warm welcome awaits

• We offer a joyful pilgrimage spiritually and socially, sharing the essence of Lourdes: daily prayer and Mass, the Torchlight and Blessed Sacrament processions, the Stations of the Cross, the baths, and the cafes and happy downtime.

• You will be cared for by our volunteers, carefully guided by our qualified medical team.

• Hospital-style accommodation is in shared, single-sex rooms in the Accueil (where our sick and cared for pilgrims stay).

• Departure and return from Stansted.

• Cost: £500 pp (financial assistance available in appropriate cases)

A WARM INVITATION TO LOURDES FROM MALTA

Further to the invitation from the Order of Malta (above) I would add my own encouragement to those members of our parish who are sick (at whatever stage of illness or treatment) or the infirm to consider going to Lourdes. Please do not let cost be a barrier to you: Malta are offering a very reduced cost of £500 and if this would present a difficulty either Malta or the parish would be able to help (please speak to me - or to Duncan at the details above). Whilst the pilgrimage leaves from Stansted, again that is something that we might be able to help with. Please be in touch: it would be wonderful to send some pilgrims from our parish! As a chaplain to the Order of Malta, I might try and come along, too - the Order’s pilgrimages are always wonderful!
